As a part of the East Lancashire Learning Group, Lancashire Adult Learning work in partnership with a range of health and social care providers to plan and deliver tailored training programmes that support recruitment into the sector. These programmes are designed for adults aged 19 and over who are looking to return to work, retrain, or upskill for a new career.

Our teams had previously collaborated in 2021 and 2022 and so were very excited to partner with them once again this January for their Work Ready programme at Linkbridge in Burnley.

The focus of this programme is on helping individuals build the confidence, knowledge, and practical skills needed to secure long-term employment.

We met some fantastic learners over the 6 week duration of the course and were very impressed not only by the learners’ commitment and passion for working in the care sector but also by the teamwork and camaraderie they demonstrated as they supported each other on the course.

We are delighted to share that we have been able to offer five of the learners permanent positions at Ash Grove Care Home. Let’s join together in wishing them every success in their new roles!
