Nursing is one of the most trusted professions within the UK and we are proud to be supporting the next generation by offering student placements within our care homes.

Each of our students complete a 6 week placement within one of care sites, during this time we ensure we create a culture of learning and embrace innovation and the new ways of working they have to offer. It is important to us that we create a space where students can exchange ideas and explore new experiences.

Rather than being seen as “an extra pair of hands” we encourage students to access our up to date resources and provide continuous professional development opportunities. We want them to feel part of our team and bridge the gap between all healthcare providers, both NHS and Social Care.

Over the past year we have celebrated the value our student nurses have offered and seen firsthand how they have enhanced the lives of our residents via their person-centred approach. We recognize that our students are perfectly placed to act as conduits for the implementation of new healthcare practices, always for the betterment of our residents.

One of our most recent students was placed at Byron Court Care Home, Bootle, she certainly exceeded both ours and the residents expectations and made a real impact during her placement. As her time with us was coming to an end, she sent a lovely card to the team, thanking them for their support and guidance during her time with us.
