Dementia care covers a wide range of symptoms, such as confusion, memory problems and communication. It is a progressive illness meaning the needs of an individual can change day by day.
Our care team receive specialist training to ensure they have the skill set required to provide continued care to your loved one through these different stages. Our aim is to ensure our residents live their life to their fullest, we want them to maintain as much independence as possible despite their memory loss. Our team will support your loved one to build their confidence and encourage engagement.
We offer multi-sensory activities to support our residents to increase their levels of concentration and communication, we want to keep them as mentally and physically active as they are able.
Within our Dementia care services, we have a holistic care approach for which we make use of innovative technology.
Venturi Healthcare have recently refurbished a number of our Dementia care suites with imagery wallpaper designs. These designs provide communal areas within the home that are familiar to our residents, such as a post office, a garden area or a café. This style of décor stimulates reminiscence therapy for people living with Dementia.
