Let Us Introduce Ourselves
Burgess Manor Care Home is a picturesque 47 bed Victorian building located in Southport, a stone’s throw from the coast. Surrounded by golfing greens and sporting stunning views, the home is only 10 minutes away from Southport town centre.
At Burgess Manor, we prioritise dignity and self-worth for all our residents and strive to give them an excellent quality of life. Burgess Manor is our residents’ home. While meeting their medical, clinical and physical needs, we encourage their personal growth, boost their social connections and individual dignity; all the while, providing friendship and care.
Far more devastating than physical illness, is lack of purpose. Studies have shown over and over that residents who are engaged in activities that they find meaningful are far more likely to retain mental acuity, physical health, and emotional well- being. At Burgess Manor, our two dedicated Activities Coordinators ensure that there are a variety of fun, stimulating and inclusive activities for all to participate in. Local shopping trips, days out to Blackpool Zoo and museums in Liverpool, canal boating, and excursions even as far afield as Yorkshire are all part of the busy itinerary.
Life, In Style
A healthy lifestyle is an important part of the care we deliver at Burgess Manor. Amongst other things, we achieve this by ensuring all our residents maintain a nutritious, balanced diet and have access to stimulating activities.
Our hospitality team work exceptionally hard to ensure mealtimes with the home are a stimulating, thought-provoking part of the day. We have an experienced catering department who are able to offer a variety of well-balanced meals and snacks to residents based on their preferences and dietary requirements.
We encourage our residents to dine together where possible as we believe mealtimes are a social experience, where people can build friendships and share stories. That being said, if preferred, we are more than happy to cater for our residents in the comfort of their own room.
The team works alongside our residents to encourage a fun and inclusive atmosphere. We have an extensive programme of activities, both in-house and out and about within the local community. Our Activity Coordinators gain regular feedback from residents to understand their hobbies, events from their past they have loved and different projects they may wish be involved in. Our aim is to ensure our residents have a joyful, engaging life whilst maintaining as much independence as possible.

A Message from the Manager
I am Emma Patterson, Manager of Burgess Manor. Here, we aim to ensure the care provided is of the highest standard and we are continuously looking for ways of improving our service. I worked at Burgess Manor for many years in a variety of roles prior to securing the role of Deputy Manager and now Registered Home Manager. Over the years, I believe I have gained a wealth of experience to support me in my Management role. I hope to always create a safe space for our residents to grow, engage and live happily.
Burgess Manor is not just a caregiving facility; it is the residents’ home and community.
