Sitting in the heart of the local community of Southport, Blair House Care Home offers support and encourages personal growth within a safe and secure environment. We aim to help our residents find their budding strengths and allow them flower. We believe everyone is always learning and growing, regardless of illness or age.
We work hard to provide both daily care and kind companionship from our compassionate and qualified staff. Residents of Blair House are encouraged to live independently to promote wellbeing and confidence. Staff recommend and inspire residents to use our resident safe, kitchen and laundry areas to complete their own daily tasks. This provides and strengthens residents’ routines and purpose. Of course, we also have an in-house catering and housekeeping team to support those who may be less able.
Activities
At Blair House, we are incredibly proud of our daily activity programme. We have two brilliant Activity Coordinators who are dedicated to ensuring there’s always something going on and opportunities for every one of our residents to get involved. Some recent highlights include trips to Blackpool, our cosy Knit and Knatter days and ice cream making as well as good old ten pin bowling!
Of course, there is never any pressure for our residents to participate, and if they would like to stay home, or take a trip into town before returning for a delicious homemade meal, they are free to do so. Our mission is simply to provide support in order to help our people live their lives on their terms.

A Message from the Manager
My name is Leah. I joined the team at Blair House as Manager in March 2024. I have had a variety of experiences within mental health settings and am committed to providing a first-class “home from home” environment with an emphasis on promoting individuality, dignity, and acceptance in a warm, caring, friendly environment. I hope to succeed in providing the standard of care you would hope for your loved ones.
