Byron Court

A warm and welcoming place that you can call home

Let Us Introduce Ourselves

Set in the heart of Bootle in Liverpool, Byron Court offers care, security and companionship for up to 52 people. We want our residents to continue to live as normal a life as possible; this includes getting out and about whenever able. They deserve freedom of choice, rights, inclusion and dignity, all while feeling secure in the knowledge that we are here to help. We have many qualified, experienced, and understanding nurses and carers who all take great pride in their job. Our staff work so each resident is happy, comfortable, and content.

Every one of our residents has their own plan of care specially designed for them. We ensure the residents take part in its creation and it is used to update their families on their loved ones regularly. We believe that our residents’ beliefs, values, and customs should always be considered when designing a care plan. This means we can give them the best care possible whilst providing a safe, caring, and stress-free environment.

We work hard so all our residents’ care needs are always met – no task is too big or small.

Socialising is essential to improve mental health, so all three floors have their own lounge and a large dining area on the ground floor where our residents can relax and talk with others. We also have a small wheelchair-accessible garden area – particularly enjoyable in the summer!

Engaging With Our Local Community

When choosing a care home for yourself or a loved one, you want peace of mind that not only will they receive exceptional care, they will also have the opportunity to have meaningful conversations, create friendships and, most importantly, feel part of the local community.

Byron Court are constantly seeking new ways in which we can enhance our links between the local community and our residents. So, when the opportunity arose to join the Care Home Friends and Neighbours (Care Home FaNs) network, we jumped in feet first!

Since our enrolment in the scheme, we have taken part in a number of key initiatives to build intergenerational relationships within the local area. Recently, we invited the local primary school children to attend the home, where they took part in armchair exercise classes with our residents. We also regularly receive lovely postcards and letters from the children, which our residents love to read, promoting engagement and stimulation.

These projects are extremely important when strengthening individual wellbeing. They provide a sense of meaning and positivity, particularly for those who may not have regular visitors to the home otherwise. We will continue to take part in these amazing strategies in the hope of enhancing the lives of those living with us, whilst also removing the stigma of care home living. We hope our visits from the younger generations become the norm and we can continue to enrich the lives of our residents and colleagues alike.
