As a Chef within Mother Redcaps, you will provide a high standard of food and beverages to our residents whilst ensuring high levels of cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen. You will effectively manage and supervise the kitchen staff in their daily duties, ensuring compliance and understanding of their responsibilities for food hygiene, preparation and all Health and Safety requirements.
You will be confident in supporting the planning of menus in close consultation with the residents and the Registered Manager; ensuring that meal choices reflect the preferences and dietary requirements of residents and are within present budgets. .
Mother Redcaps provides a stimulating, specialist environment for residents living with various levels of Dementia and general nursing requirements. Everyday will be different, meaning your work will not only be varied but you will leave at the end of the day, knowing you have made a positive difference to our residents lives.
About You
To join our team as Chef you must have an NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent and experience of working in a care home setting. You will have the commitment and passion to deliver the highest standard of catering. Above all else, you will have the drive to make a difference to our residents lives.
