Project Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced general maintenance supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and completing development projects and maintenance works across all of our care home sites in the Merseyside and Lancashire area. The ideal candidate will have multi-trade experience and be able to undertake a range of building and maintenance tasks. A full UK driving licence is essential as you will be required to drive a company vehicle.

The Job Role:

  • Lead on the completion of refurbishment projects across the group
  • Undertake construction, repair, and maintenance work on buildings and other structures
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment to complete building tasks
  • Work from drawings, and specifications to plan building activities
  • Undertake rip out work, bricklaying, roofing, studwork, boarding, minor plumbing, kitchen installations, bathroom installations etc.
  • Carry out finishing work, such as plastering, painting, and tiling
  • Manage the ordering and delivery of building materials and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
  • Attend to any maintenance or repair work required on existing structures
  • Communicate effectively with the Facilities Manager, Managers and other team members to ensure tasks are completed to the required standard within required the required timeframe
  • Carry out basic level electrical works

About You:

To succeed in this job role, you will have:

  • Proven experience as a general builder or similar role
  • Multi-trade experience, with the ability to undertake a range of building and maintenance tasks
  • Knowledge of building materials and their properties
  • Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong time management to arrive on site on time and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Willingness to travel to different jobsites as required
  • City and Guilds Level 3 or a craft apprenticeship/vocational training desirable but not essential
